Spent six hours on my usual puddle. Ended with four avg. size bass of about two and a half pounds, one around 4.5 and a pickerel that measured 22 ". Very cool in the morning but warming to about 84. Lots of HEAVY grass here. Used unweighted worms and tubes with rattles in them. Tossed them out onto the weed tops and just rattled them on the deadstick. We got to see many of the strikes. Pretty cool! Hope everyone else is having a great season too. FISHNGUY

Hey FGuy ever try a 3x "strike King " Zulu Jerk bait weedless/weight free along the same type stuff...... trust me on this one, stop at a local Walmart and pick up 1pk each Pumpkin/Chartruess and Pumpkin color and slooooowly twitch it across the top and enjoy the explosions !! "livebait " will attest to its success.. Jim

Hey JimB, Is that the extra stretchy, really hard to rip stuff, the 3x?? I've heard about it but haven't had a chance to try it yet.. I will be trying the " horny toad" that I mentioned in a different thread. Used it a bit at a lake called " Little Cayuta " and had 2 good blow ups and 1 bite off by a toothy critter, but they seem to work, cast well and stay weedless too. Can't wait , only 4 days and I'll be "casting just one more time". Ridg

That 3x stuff is wonderful. Chewy, stretchy - soft on the hook for great hook sets. Just don't let it near your regular soft plastics. Oh what a gooey wad of "rubber" it makes once it touches anything else. I carry a spare zip lock to put my used baits in, now. I left one on the hook and it laid up against a senko on another rod... not a pretty sight. No major damage - just a wad of "rubber" fused to that nice new hook. But it is great stuff to fish with.
