Hey guys, FISHNGUY here. Sorry to break in to your communications. I'm originally from Tamaqua,PA. Not too far from Beltzville. And one of my favorite lakes up there is Mauch Chunk lake between Jim Thorpe and Summit Hill. not too far from the turnpike. It's a relatively small lake that allows trollers only but it's great to fish. Nice bass, walleye and loads of crappie.Give it a try. Don't be spooled, FISHNGUY

Hey RDH, Computer has been on the blink, couldn't write back.. I've never fished Union lake but I've fished Assipink too many times to count.. Ever fish Rising Sun or Stone Tavern?? They are both part of the Assipink WMA and are good for lg mouth bass. Go farther up towards New Brunswick and fish Farrington lake, right off rt. 130n. Caught my biggest bass there a 7.25 lb on a spoon. Mercer county has some good lakes too.. Nice to talk to some one from Jersey. And yep I do deer hunt and used to hunt just outside of Hopewell and New Egypt and Princeton. Memories!!

Where in Tioga County do you live? I live right over the border, in Milan PA. Just outside of Owego.. About 6 miles from the river. Almost Musky time..

Ridgerunner, I have fished Stone Tavern and Rising Sun, but not Farrington. We lease land in E. Amwell Twp.,outside of Hopewell. Big difference in the size of what we called a lake in Jersey and what is a lake up here in NY. Assinpink is about what 250 acres?? Up here thats a pond.. Hey if you get a chance try out Farrington, its worth the trip. In Burlington twp. theres Sylvan lake, small but good bass water. Ever fish the Delaware River?? Everything from cats to stripers there if you fish at the right time.

I ve fished the delaware use to enter the 911bas angler tourny every year. it is a good river to fish just watch the tides their are a lot of coves that you can get in under high tide but if your not watchin will leave you high and dry when the tide goes out. if Im not mistaking the river has like a 6-8' tidal change.
