well I just got back today fri and sat were windy fri there were whitecaps on the lake fishing was hard the waves were coming in the bass boat on the ride to the dock NOT FUN sun the lake was like glass and hot as hell 90+ degrees I only cuaght 14 bass not real thrilled about the outcome but I can see that the lake does have potential but as far as this outing im dissapointed!!!! NO pike no walleye no bullheads and the bass were only mediocer to good. I would love to try the lake again but Im hesitant too when I can catch bass like that here at home and not have to travel 6 hours

I just got back from BL as well. Fished it from the 18th to the 24th of June. Pike are hard to catch. I had a nice one on at Lonesome bay on sat that shook loose at the boat because I forgot the net. I was in a hurry to get on the water and left it in the SUV. My brother only caught 2-3 all week. He catches that in a morning or evening most years. Don't let this get you down. Go out and give them what for. Have safe trip.

I just realize you have been and are now back. I traveled 16 hours to fish BL. Like I said fishing was tuff. I did manage plenty of Perch and a few Crappie. The best part was when my brother had a 24" Bow fin to the boat and he shook loose. I had the net ready and was able to scoop him up before he had a chance to swim away. Suprised us both that he was in the net. Tuff week of fishing but will go back someday.
