I gotta believe we can't possibly have to endure more intolerable humidity and temperatures than we dealt with in June. Regardless we will be arriving Tuesday am 9/13 and plan on being on the water shortly thereafter !! The solunar tables are missed slightly but we will again not be shorted on our time on the water...... I for one am getting pumped for Fall '05. In fact I probably need to double check my tacklebox after our "banner-day" trolling in June, I lost few cranks that infamous day (as well as almost having a floating marker plucked right out in front of me)............. good luck to all fishermen and women....

Well if its 35 days for you then its 1 less for me. The wife and me will be there early on the 12th of Sept. Just got done making a BASSPRO order to top off the tackle bag to make sure we don't get skunked. lol ;D Keep an eye out for the Targa 16, maybe we can put some faces with the postings. Looking forward to the trip as always, hope to see you there Ridg

Let me know if interested in hooking up at a predetermined time and place. Where are you staying? We are at Cedar Grove. We are looking forward to another great trip !! Jim

We'll get there on Monday am. Hows Wednesday around noon sound, you pick the spot. We're staying at Massaoapi cabins, its the first place on the lake on rt. 6. We fish the south and west ends of the lake so pick a spot and we'll hook up for some fish stories. Look for my gray 16 ft Targa some where on the lake Tuesday. Looking forward to a good trip and maybe some cooler temps then we have been having lately. Even a lake the size of Cayuga has got water temps around 80 and the fish are real sluggish even at first light. It doesn't discourage me just makes the fishing tough.. Just over 30 days<{{{>{ Ridg

Wed noon sounds reasonable. Now the only question is where?? We most likely will be around the main part of the lake somewhere, meaning between the Islands/Shoals and Lonesome Bay area. If we maintain contact via this site I am sure we can confirm a place before you (and us) leave for the lake. Looking forward to finally putting a face to a name!! Jim

Lonesome Bay around the school bus sounds good. If the lack of rain stays about what it has been lately it might be hard getting through the weeds to the bus but its worth a try. We usually hit Lonesome, Orchard, Brown, Lower Deep and around the Fish creek side of the island if the weeds look good. So I'm sure we'll be fishing some of the same spots, for the same thing, bass and pike, the bigger the better.. Looking forward to meeting.

black lake maybe out for the fall but there are sure enough trout streams around here to keep my interest. and old jim b. will be in the hunting mode real soon. as far as the home front is concerned a little damage control is in order. we will put things in order real some. but i for see no long lasting problems. thanks for the concern. as we all say there are more important issues than fishing. but come on june `06.

Really sorry to here you guy's won't be able to make it to the lake next month. Hope everything will work out for you on the home front. We'll just have to wait to put some faces with the words. As tight lipped as the fish have been lately you may be saving yourself some frustration anyway . I will give a report when I get back to let everyone know how good or bad the fishing was, cause we all know the trip is always worth it just to be at the lake even when the fish don't cooperate. Woke up here this morning and it was 42 degrees, this is August right Might get the water to start changing again for the better. Ridg

ridg i always like one more cast. ask jim b. every trip we make that last cast is always something special. it means the trip is over but there are many more trips to be had. when that last cast is retrieved we are already planning the next trip. we always try to improve on the previous trip. so look out june `06 we will be back better than ever. correction on the count-down it is more like 300 days double OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are absolutely right!! That last cast usually isn't back to the boat when the next trip is being talked about. And since you already started the count down for that spring trip 06, my count down is lucky for me shorter then yours again, I'm there in the middle of May. Still a bunch of fishing to do yet this year before bow season starts. Went and checked out but didn't fish a lake called Little Cayuta today. Ran into a couple of guy's that were coming off the water and they had done ok. LM. crappie and perch. They told me that there are LM, crappie. pickerel, walleye and musky. The state has put about 150,000 walleye fingerling's in over the last three years up to about 12 inches. Lake looked to be about 300 - 400 acres. Going to give it a try next week hopefully. Keep planning for the spring ;D Ridg
