on Wed (see my report ) we were finding fish and we employed our location markers as we always do. While making our swing around to commence on another troll thru our designated target area, we noticed a lone boat in close proximty to the marker then note this "fisherman" taking the marker out of the water. We immediately signaled to him to stop.....while approaching and after he returned the marker, I asked him why he would take the marker? His reponse was" "ahh "cause I didn't see anybody"........... and I promptly replied "thats the exact reason why we placed the marker so we know the exact location of our boundries we want to concentrate on". This area was no more than 300yds long. He was clueless, which shocked both of us because he had an awesome bassboat! Anybody else out there who would respond by helping yourself to someone elses equipment?

I've never had that happen to me. I think I'll take a permanent black marker and put a message on my markers: "Please do not remove from water. This is marking a spot for me to return to later." That might help.

Its kinda like the tooth fairy right?? Unfortunately some people still think things just kinda happen and nobody really, really put it there and would care if it was missing when they tried to use it again in 5 minutes or 2 hours. Having a bass boat doesn't always prove integrity, now does it?? Been to the ramp during a bass tourney lately?? Speaking of the green guys, just a few days to go!!

I have not had anyone take my markers, but have had people see them and cut right in front of me. I hope you got a nice fish right in front of him.
