I never thot color of line made much difference until my dad and I began fishing a little lake in WV (where I lived for 7 years prior to moving to PA) where we came to realize green consistently produced larger fish. Well, it's time to put new line on several reels and our annual BL vacation is just around the corner, so anybody think there's a color pattern at BL? Just curious. O2BFishin

From articles that I've read, red and green lines are supposed to be the hardest for fish to see in any water.

The top producers in my BASS club all use green line.
I'm not good enough to notice the difference myself. Although, since I switched to green I seem to be catching a few more fish.
I've been thinking about trying some flurocarbon line. I hear that this is almost invisible under water. Due to the cost I'll probably start by using it only as a leader material.

How about the age factor! The older I get the more I like the gold stren. It is a lot easier to thread and tie that color since I can see it!
