ok guys and gals how have you done on any fishing excursions you have been out on so far this year? I got out on a small lake 2 weeks ago had some good hits but they were short hitting and I was missing them on senkos. The guy with me was able to hook one on a black power worm and get it in around a 14" Lm.

Went to Blue Marsh two weeks ago and also the week before that just to try and break in a new boat/motor. Took some time to drop shot around a small hump across from the beach area. All I got was frustrated. FISHNGUY

I would Highly suggest going to hopewell lake in french creek state park. Its trolling motor only but worth it. It is a designated big bass lake and 90% of the people thow the bass back as well. I recommend using dark colored senkos And staying on the weeds. I killed then last year on that lake. I usually try and fish that lake 2x a week when they start hitting. In fact I only ran my main motor 1x last year because I kept fishing there LOL

dale3fan3, Never tried Hopewell but it sounds like a great piece of water. My father-in-law is stuck on the Susky but if I start working on him now I get him up there next spring. I suppose I could leave him behind just this once! I'll give it a try ASAP Thanks, FISHNGUY

oldken, I don't know if your refering to me or not but since I'm the only one with a user name close to "fishing guy" I'll answer. We were up there on June 2nd through the 5th. We knocked the snot out of the pike and hauled in some really nice bass. Didn't weigh the bass but three of them had to be pushing the 5.5lb mark. The rest of the trip is already reported on these pages. FISHNGUY
