I agree with the cold beer, but it will wait until the boat is back to the dock!

Suspending jerk baits on the edges and drop-offs and soft plastics right in the thick stuff.

I see that alot of people use live bait and spinners and cranks, does anybody use spinnerbaits other then me?? I've done pretty good at BL with them. I don't use live bait of any kind and haven't for quite a while, nothing against it, just don't use it.

We tried spinnerbaits last year and only caught a few small bass. It really surprised us . . . we expected them to do well.

But anybody thats been doing this game as long as most of us have been knows that there is something either new or just alittle different right around the corner. That old Rapala set up looks pretty good. As equipment keeps getting better the fish seem to get tired of seeing the old reliables, at least for awhile. Maybe older type baits will go retro just like todays clothes. lol

I have two favorite fishing methods:
The run-and-gun approach down shorelines with crankbaits, spinnerbaits, or sthingys
or
The drift-with-the-wind approach with a small jig - its easy and productive

If I have a choice, it's spinner baits or crank baits to cover water. If that doesn't work, I'll slow down fishing jigs, senkos, etc.

Mine changes, depending on conditions. Early morning, calm water, top fishing with chug bugs and rapalas, from shore out to the boat. Spinners, and spinner baits outside the weedbeds, and then trolling larger spinners later in the morning.
