Don't mean to jump the gun here but it won't be too long before we're walking on water. Feel free to post any hints or tips you have for getting ready for the ice.

making a trip to gandemountain next weekto stock up on ice jigs and maybe a new vexlar. any tips on what jigs are best for crappie would be appreciated. old ken

I've always done well on a small swedish pimple, small vertical rapala, ice eyes, or any small jig tipped with a waxy, mousey, maggot or mealy. Small twister tails are sometimes all you need. I like jigs with white, red, black or glow heads.
